The Community Services Board membership shall be representative of professionals and members of the general public whose occupations or interests involve or are related to the fields of mental health, intellectual disabilities, and substance abuse and to include consumers and family members of consumers when practical. It is the intent of the City Council that each field of Board concern receives adequate professional representation on the Board to ensure appropriate advocacy for and review of the program and services developed for each field.

The Chesapeake Community Services Board is the local provider of mental health, substance abuse and intellectual disability services, including services for infants with developmental delays. Our services include individual and group therapy, anger management classes, and case management. We accept commercial insurance. but individuals without insurance may qualify for reduced rates. Call 757-547-9334 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
